Corporate World: A Curtain Raiser Series

On 12th March 2021, the Department of Human Resources, ITM Business School Navi Mumbai had organized an Expert Session on “Defining Motivation with application in Start Up NGO” for the students of PGDM HR Batch 2020-22 batch.

The Guest for the session was Ms. Jyotii Verma (Founder Flora Fly). The session started with some insights on motivation and what motivates an individual to perform a task in his/her life. She Guided the students by presenting some actual motivational videos of rural woman who take care of their family by their own and what are the various challenges they have overcome while living in rural areas how these people are motivated in their life.

Ms. Jyotii shared her experience where she began her journey of a social worker in 2018 and from there onwards till now her team have started shops for more than 50 women in Gurugram and nearby locations. These rural women are earning Rs.15000 per month and with this initiative the NGO helped in educating them, setting up the shops and funding their education and providing skill development training at their centers.

It was truly an interactive session as Ms. Jyotii Verma was also engaging students simultaneously by asking questions and students were also interested in her work, life experiences, opinions and what motivated her. Overall, it was an insightful session for HR Batch 2020-22.
